- Extra Details:
- Expression of cdc2 plays a critical role in cell transition through the G2/M phase. The activity of cdc2 in dividing cells increases at the onset of M phase coincident with disassembly of the cell nucleus, generation of mitotic spindles and chromosome condensation. Several proteins including Histone H1 and pp60 src are substrates for cdc2. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected cdc2 from human A431, mouse 3T3 and rat L6 RIPA cell lysates. Immunoprecipitation: 4ug Immunoprecipitates cdc2 from 500ug of A431 RIPA lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Included Positive Antigen Control: A0001-50: Non-stimulated A431 lysate. Use 20ug per lane for minigels Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
