- Extra Details:
- Human CD235a (glycophorin A) is a sialoglycoprotein expressed early on the cell surface during erythropoiesis as pluripotent stem cells are recruited to differentiate into erythrocytes (1). CD235a (gycophorin A) is a useful marker to study the developmental biology of hematopoietic progenitor cells (2,3). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Ten x 10e5 human red blood cells were washed and preincubated 5 minutes with 20ul of 250ug/ml human IgG (to block non-specific binding). 2. Cells were then incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2548-98D1 at a dilution 10ug/ml. 3. Cells were washed two times and incubated with I1904-06F: IgG, H&L (FITC) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo 4. Cells washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 5. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 0.9 log10 fluorescent units when compared to I1905-26C IgM Murine Negative Control at a similar concentration. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
