- CD105, also known as Endoglin, is a homodimeric type I transmembrane glycoprotein associated primarily with vascular endothelium. It binds TGF-beta1 and TGF-beta3 efficiently and forms a complex with the TGF-b signaling receptors, TGF-b receptors I and II. CD105 plays important roles in angiogenesis and hematopoiesis. Recently, it was shown that multipotent stem cells can be isolated from bone marrow and muscle tissue based on their expression of CD105. In addition, CD105 was also shown to be a functional marker that defines long term repopulating hematopoietic stem cells from bone marrow side-population cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug labels 10e6 cells using U937 human histiocytic lymphoma cell line Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
