- CD90/Thy-1, a GPI-anchored molecule and one of the smallest members of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, consists of a single V-set domain.1-4 It is expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T lymphocytes, some intraepithelial T lymphocytes and neurons of all mouse strains.1,2 This antibody stimulates T-cell proliferation and IL-2 secretion, via signalling through the T-cell receptor/CD3 complex.1,5-7 The antibody has also been reported to promote apoptosis of thymocytes and CTL clones,4,7 and to mediate adhesion of thymocytes to thymic stroma.8 Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry (acetone-fixed, frozen sections), In vitro T cell activation and Induction of apoptosis. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≥0.2ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
