Extra Details:: CD71 is a 95 kDa type II heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is the receptor for transferrin. CD71 expression is very low on resting leukocytes but is upregulated upon activation. CD71 plays a critical role in cell proliferation by controlling the supply of iron which is essential for many metabolic pathways through the binding and endocytosis of transferrin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: ≤1ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
