- Extra Details:
- CD71 is a 95kD type II heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is the receptor for transferrin. CD71 expression is very low on resting leukocytes but is upregulated upon activation. CD71 plays a critical role in cell proliferation by controlling the supply of iron, which is essential for many metabolic pathways, through the binding and endocytosis of transferrin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Caution: PE/CY5 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. PE/CY5 combination conjugate is used as a third fluorochrome in multicolor flow cytometry applications when only a single 488nm excitation source is available. Antibodies are covalently coupled using heterobifunctional linking reagents, resulting in an optimal conjugation format for flow cytometry.
