- CD69, also known as very early activation (VEA) antigen, is a disulfide-linked transmembrane homodimer whose differentially glycosylated subunits range from 35-39 kD.1,2 It is a C-type lectin, most closely related to the NKR-P1 and Ly-49 NK cell-activation molecules.3 CD69 is widely expressed on hematopoietic cells, including lymphocytes, neutrophils and eosinophils.1-4 Although not detectable on resting lymphocytes, its expression is rapidly (within 2 hours) upregulated upon activation of T, B and NK cells, and neutrophils.4 Constitutive expression of CD69 on subsets of thymocytes suggests that it may be involved in regulation of developmental events in addition to its role in activation of a variety of hematopoietic cells.4,5 This antibody augments PMA-induced T-cell proliferation,1,6 and induces redirected lysis of Fc receptor-bearing target cells by NK cells.7 Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: acetone-fixed, frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4°C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin/Cy5 conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE/Cy5 conjugates are sensitive to light.
