- CD63 is an intracellular type-III lysosomal glycoprotein and member of the tetraspanin (TM4SF) family, which is translocated to the cell surface upon activation of platelets, and therefore a potential indicator of platelet activation. Rat CD63 is expressed on mast cells, and studies using clone AD1, have shown that it is located near to FcER1, and that clone AD1 partially inhibits IgE-mediated histamine release. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: paraffin sections Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:200 Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
