Extra Details:
CD55 (DAF) binds to activated C4b or C3b complement fragments on the cell surface, preventing the assembly and accelerating the decay of both classical and alternative pathways. DAF carries the Cromer related blood group antigens. CD55 is the complement regulatory protein, decay accelerating factor (DAF) (1). It is a 70kD glycoprotein (in erythrocytes) anchored in the membrane by glycosylphosphatidylinositol tail. In other cells the apparent molecular weight is somewhat larger. It has a substantial content of O-glycans, and also on N-glycan. Antigen Distribution: DAF has a wide distribution on cells in non-haemopoietic tissues, particularly epithelium and is specifically found at the fetal-maternal interface in placenta (3,4). Soluble forms of DAF are found, for example, in plasma, saliva and urine. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:2, use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended Negative Controls: Mouse IgG1 Negative Control: RPE Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4°C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
