- Human CD53 is a tetraspan cell surface glycoprotein found on all hemopoetic cells except platelets and red blood cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:50 (10ug/ml) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured human Jurkat cells per tube were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of C2408-21D at 10ug/ml. 3. Washed cells three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 4. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.55 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a mouse IgG2b/R-PE negative control at a similar concentration. 5. Binding was blocked when cells were preincubated 10 minutes with 20ul of C2408-21A at 0.5mgml. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
