Extra Details:: CD49d (VLA-4) inhibits adhesion of rat lymphocytes to cytokine-activated endothelial cells. It blocks binding of rat lymphocytes to purified VCAM-1 and to the CS-1 peptide of fibronectin. VLA-4 is a leukocyte integrin which plays an important role in lymphocyte adhesion and activation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Hybridization of P3U1 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
