- Extra Details:
- The antibody stains the majority of NK cells and a small subpopulation of T cells in all mouse strains tested (e.g., A/J, AKR, BALB/c, C3H/HeJ, C57BL/6, C57BL/10, C57BR, C58, CBA/Ca, CBA/J, DBA/1, DBA/2, SJL, SWR).2. 3 Three-color flow cytometry analysis has revealed that most cells that express NK-1.1 (NKR-P1C) also express CD49b. However, small subsets of DX5+NK-1.1- and DX5-NK-1.1+ cells can be found, especially among the CD3+ population of T lymphocytes.2 NK cells cultured in the presence of IL-2 progressively lose reactivity with DX5 as a consequence of cellular proliferation.1 Therefore, the antibody can be used to define functionally distinct subsets of murine NK cells. The antibody has not been demonstrated to have activating or blocking activity.2 Applications: • Flow cytometry 1-3 Note: The antibody is not suitable for immunohistochemical staining of either frozen or paraffin sections. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
