Extra Details:
Complement receptor 1 (CR1, CD35) is a cell membrane-bound, monomeric glycoprotein. It is found on numerous cell types of primates including erythrocytes, lymphocytes and phagocytes. The primary function of CR1 is to serve as the cellular receptor for C3b and C4b, the most important components of the complement system leading to clearance of foreign macromolecules. Applications: Suitable for Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 2-4ug/ml. Strongly labels follicular dendritic cells (FDC). Note: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min., followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Epitope: Distal from C3b- binding site Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
