- CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1), is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is constitutively expressed on the surface of endothelial cells, and concentrated at the junction between them. It is also weakly expressed on many peripheral lymphoid cells and paltelets. CD31 interacts homotypically in cell adhesion assays. This antibody inhibits the aggregation of L cells transfected with a variant form of CD31. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Blocking of cell adhesion. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
