- Extra Details:
- CD31, also known as PECAM-1, is a 130kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein adhesion molecule in the Ig superfamily. Interaction of CD31 on endothelial cells with CD31 on monocytes, neutrophils and lymphocyte subsets is required for transendothelial migration. In platelets, CD31 is necessary for limiting thrombus formation. Porcine CD31 extracellular domain contains six C2-type Ig-like domains and shows 74%, 73% and 70% amino acid (aa) identity with bovine, canine and human CD31, respectively. The 572 aa ectodomain may be shed by metalloproteinase cleavage. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml with recombinant porcine CD31/PECAM‑1 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
