- CD24 is attached to the cell membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor and is expressed at multiple stages of B cell development, beginning with the bone marrow CD34 positive pro-B cell compartment and continuing through mature surface IgM positive/IgD positive B cells. CD24 is also expressed on the vast majority of B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemias and B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In the normal spleen, mantle zone lymphocytes are CD24 strongly positive, but germinal center cells are CD24 negative or CD24 weakly positive. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
