- CD24 is attached to the cell membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor and is expressed at multiple stages of B cell development, beginning with the bone marrow CD34 positive pro-B cell compartment and continuing through mature surface IgM positive/IgD positive B cells. CD24 is also expressed on the vast majority of B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemias and B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In the normal spleen, mantle zone lymphocytes are CD24 strongly positive, but germinal center cells are CD24 negative or CD24 weakly positive. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen tissues Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:50 per 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
