- CD19 is a ~95kD type I single pass transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on follicular dendritic cells and B-cells during maturation but is lost on development into plasma cells (de Rie et al. 1989). CD19 is the broadest lineage specific marker for B cells and functions as a B-cell co-receptor in conjunction with CD21 (Bradbury et al. 1992), CD9, CD81 and CD82 (Horváth et al. 1998). CD19 is implicated in the down-regulation of B cell growth and proliferation (Pezzutto et al. 1987). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
