Extra Details:
CD11b (integrin alphaM subunit) combines with CD18 (integrin beta2 subunit) to form the integrin Mac-1, also known as complement receptor 3 (CR3), which mediates adhesion to C3bi and ICAM-1 (CD54).2-6 Mac-1 is expressed at varying levels on granulocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and B-1 cells in the peritoneal and pleural cavities.2, 7-10 In addition to its role in binding C3bi on opsonized targets and mediation of the subsequent ingestion process,4, 11 Mac-1 is important as an adhesion molecule in the transendothelial migration of monocytes and neutrophils.12 Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 1ug/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
