- Extra Details:
- CD8 is composed of an alpha chain with Mr~30-34kD linked by disulfide bonds to a beta chain with Mr~30-32kD. In addition to forming heterodimers with the beta chain, the alpha chain is also capable of forming homodimers while the beta chain is incapable of forming homodimers. The extracellular portion of CD8 alpha binds to the non-polymorphic portion of MHC class I molecules. This interaction is important in the antigen presentation to CD8+ T cells. The cytoplasmic domain of the alpha chain associates with p56lck, a member of the Src family of tyrosine kinases. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:10. Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-82H1: IgG2a Negative Control (PE) Hybridoma: Spleen cells from a Spraque Dawley rat immunized with the C6 T cell clone were fused with cells of the NSO mouse myeloma cell line. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C. Reconstitute with ddH2O. Aliquot and store at 4°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light
