Extra Details:
CD8 is the 33kD T8 antigen present on the human cytotoxic/suppressor T-cell subset. Strongly blocks the cytolytic activity of T8-positive CTLs. Also reacts with a subpopulation of Rhesus monkey lymphocytes which is identical to the population of human T8 positive cells. The molecule is involved in T-cell activation and in interactions with MHC Class I antigens on target cells. The antigen is destroyed by glutaraldehyde fixation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: 1:10 dilute in PBS, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide. Immunocytochemistry: 1:10 dilute in PBS, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
