Extra Details:: CD5L has been shown to mediate the survival of macrophages in atherosclerotic plaques. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml, detects a band of ~38kD in Raji cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 10ug/ml. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
