Extra Details:: CD4 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on approximately 70% of thymocytes, 15% of spleen cells and 40% of peripheral blood lymphocytes, but <1% of bursal cells.1 This antibody inhibits both PHA- and Con A-induced proliferative responses of splenocytes, and PWM-induced IL-2 production.1 Also reacts with turkey CD4 as demonstrated by flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation/Western blotting.3 Applications: • Flow cytometry 1 • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) 2 • Immunoprecipitation 1 • Inhibition of mitogen-induced proliferation 1 Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
