Extra Details:
CD4, also known as T4, is a 55kD single-chain type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most thymocytes, a subset of T cells, and monocytes/macrophages. CD4, a member of the Ig superfamily, recognizes antigens associated with MHC class II molecules, and participates in cell-cell interactions, thymic differentiation, and signal transduction. CD4 acts as a primary receptor for HIV, binding to HIV gp120. CD4 has also been shown to interact with IL-16. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Neutralization and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 2ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volume Immunohistochemistry: Frozen. Not suitable for paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
