Extra Details:
Since the majority of avian immune studies have been carried out on chickens, relatively little is known about the immune system of ducks, though there is a resemblance between the main lymphoid organs, the spleen, thymus and bursa of Fabricius. At the cellular level, studies have shown that like mammalian T cells, duck lymphocytes are responsive to phytohaemagglutinin (PHA), and all cells reacting with clone 7E106 (Du CD4-2) have been identified as CD3+ T cells. C2255-01M can be used to identify duck T helper cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
