- CD3, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, is comprised of five invariable chains ranging from 16-28kD and is closely associated with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). CD3 is expressed on 70-80% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and on 10-20% of thymocytes. It plays a major role in signaling during antigen recognition, leading to T cell activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
