- Extra Details:
- CD2, also known as leukocyte function-associated antigen-2 (LFA-2), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules. It is expressed on the surface of >95% of thymocytes, and essentially all B cells, T cells and NK cells. In the mouse, CD2 is the receptor for CD48. CD2 is thought to play a major role in mediating T-cell adhesion, T-cell recognition/activation, T-cell signaling, and intrathymic differentiation. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
