- Chemokine receptors are specialized proteins that function at the surface of cells, and enable chemokines to trigger internal cellular processes. Chemokines and their receptors play a pivotal role in lymphocyte trafficking, recruiting and recirculation. Chemokines act through seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. The chemokine system is increasingly recognized to play an important role in lymphocyte biology. CCR11 is a G protein-coupled, seven-transmembrane receptor protein that plays a role in the chemotaxis and trafficking of leukocytes. Showing similar binding affinities as does CCR2 and CCR10, CCR11 has been shown to specifically bind the MCP- (monocyte chemoattractant protein) family of chemokines, including MCP-4, MCP-2, and MCP-1. It was also shown to bind eotaxin. Though CCR11 shares functional similarity to CCR2 because it recognizes members of the MCP family, CCR11 has a distinct expression pattern. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:37,500 Western Blot: 1:500 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:125 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
