- Extra Details:
- Casein kinase II (CK2), a serine/threonine protein kinase, is a holoenzyme (130kD) comprised of two alpha subunits (catalytic) and two beta (regulatory) subunits (2). The alpha subunit may be present as either the 45kD alpha subunit or as the 41kD alpha’ isoform. CK2 phosphorylates many proteins in vivo, on serine or threonine residues that are N-terminal, to acidic amino acids such as in casein. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 4ug/ml (ECL) Immunohistochemistry: 1.7-8.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Positive Control: HeLa Cell Lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
