Extra Details:
The carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a member of a large family of glycoproteins and a useful tumor marker for adenocarcinoma. In the past, clinical utility of CEA antibodies in immunopathology has been limited by cross-reactivity with CEA-related antigens, particularly Non-Specific Cross-Reacting Antigen (NCA), in normal colon mucosa and human granulocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry Staining: Brightness 80, Cytoplasmic staining 3+, Membrane staining 2+, Background 2+, Staining of mucus 2+. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended antibody pair for sandwich immunoassay: Capture: C1299-87W Detection: C1299-87O Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
