- Extra Details:
- The carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a member of a large family of glycoproteins and a useful tumor marker for adenocarcinoma. In the past, clinical utility of CEA antibodies in immunopathology has been limited by cross-reactivity with CEA-related antigens, particularly Non-Specific Cross-Reacting Antigen (NCA), in normal colon mucosa and human granulocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry Staining: Brightness 80, Cytoplasmic staining 3+, Membrane staining 2+, Background 2+, Staining of mucus 2+. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended antibody pair for sandwich immunoassay: Capture: C1299-87W Detection: C1299-87O Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Allophycocyanin (APC) is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
