- Extra Details:
- Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. Carbonic Anhydrase 1 (CA1) is closely related to Carbonic Anhydrase 2 (CA2) and Carbonic Anhydrase 3 (CA3), and it is a cytosolic protein that is found at the highest level in erythrocytes. Anti-Carbonic anhydrase I antibody is ideal for investigators involved in serum protein components. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, immunomicroscopy as well as other antibody based assays using streptavidin or avidin conjugates. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2,000-1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
