- C5aR1, also known as C5a ligand and CD88, is a 7TM protein expressed on myeloid, endothelial, epithelial, and smooth muscle cells. C5aR binds the activated complement anaphylatoxin C5a. In established allergic environments, this triggers neutrophil and eosinophil chemotaxis and the release of proinflammatory mediators. In contrast, C5aR1/C5a interactions are protective during allergen sensitization. Human C5aR1 shares 66% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat C5aR. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells in human peripheral blood granulocytes Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Carboxyfluorescein conjugates are sensitive to light.
