- Bone morphogenetic protein 10 (BMP-10) is a TGF-beta superfamily member whose expression is restricted to the developing and postnatal heart. It is synthesized as a 424aa pre-proprotein with a putative 21aa signal peptide, a 295aa propeptide, and a 108aa mature protein. Mature BMP-10 is secreted as a 25kD disulfide-linked homodimer. Mature human BMP-10 shares 98% aa sequence identity with mature mouse, and rat BMP-10. Applications: Suitable for use in Neutralization and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Neutralization (ND50): 0.1-0.4ug/mL Optimal dilutions to be determined by the research. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
