Extra Details:
BLIMP-1 is a 97kD multidomain transcription repressor that has a SET domain in its N-terminal region and four C2H2-type zinc fingers in its C-terminal regions. It promotes terminal differentiation of B cells into plasma cells and also has an important role in primordial germ cell specification. An alternative splice variant that lacks 101 N-terminal aa residues of full-length BLIMP1 has been reported. Over the region used as immunogen, human and mouse BLIMP1 share 89% aa sequence identity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
