Extra Details:
Biotin is used as a growth factor in mammalian cell culture as well as having numerous immunological purification roles in avidin/streptavidin-biotin binding mechanisms. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry, F.I.T., FLISA and Flow Cytometry/FACS. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:20-1:2000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-1:5000 F.I.T.: Mean fluorescence intensity of a 1:1000 dilution at Ex-488nm (+/-9)/Em-518nm (+/-9) = 6643 MFI’s FLISA: Mean fluorescent value of 8ug/ml of FITC conjugate when tested against biotinylated Chicken IgG/Y coated at 4ug/ml = 1558 MFI’s Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Conjugate: Fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC) Amax = 494nm; Emax = 518nm; F/P Ratio = 8.1:1 Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.  Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
