- BID, a BH3 interacting domain death agonist, is a member of the Bcl-2 family. Upon activation, in response to Fas/TNF-R1 death receptor signal, it is cleaved by caspase 8 and translocated to mitochondria. There it induces cytochrome C release, which in turn activates downstream caspases. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
