Extra Details:: As Bim expression is generally low in non-transfected cell lines, please take care when choosing positive controls. Examples of cell lines which express detectable levels of Bim include: B6.2.16.BW2 or KO52.DA20 (T cell lymphomas) or ABL5.8.1 (B cell lymphoma) or MCF-7s. It is generally necessary to use a high amount of lysate (e.g. 1x10e7 cells). When using tissue samples, it is generally necessary to use 1-5mg of total protein from an appropriate tissue source. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
