- PDCD12 (Programmed cell death 12), also referred to as AVEN, represents a new class of cell death regulator. PDCD12 is a conserved intracellular membrane protein that blocks apoptosis impeded by Apaf-1 mediated caspase activation. Bcl-2 and BAD also interact with PDCD12 to prevent apoptosis. It is expressed in a wide variety of normal tissues including heart, skeletal muscle, kidney, liver, testis, and diseases such as cancer Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-3000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human PDCD12 protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
