- AUF1 Is a bcl-2 A + U-rich element-binding protein involved in bcl-2 mRNA destabilization during apoptosis. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.01-1ug/ml Detects AUF1 in RIPA lysates from HeLa nuclear extract and A431 cells. HeLa nuclear extract cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with A4165-04 (0.1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit and a chemiluminescence detection system. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control Included: H1838: HeLa nuclear extract. Add an equal volume of Laemmli reducing sample buffer to 5-10ul of extract and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduces lysate per lane for minigels. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
