- ATP synthase is extremely conserved through evolution and can be found in plants, fungi, bacteria and animals. The ATP synthase enzyme is a transmembrane protein responsible for driving the reversible reaction from ADP+ phosphate to ATP. This reaction is accomplished by a flux of protons across the membrane as a result of electron transfer. The ATP synthase protein has two main sections; the F1 ATPase (soluble) and the F0 ATPase (membrane embedded). The F1 section consists of the alpha, beta, gamma, delta and epsilon subunits. While the F0 consists of a, b and c subunits. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 1ug/ml for one hour at RT using 10e6 cells or adherent sample by indirect immunofluorescence. Suggested fixative is 2-4% paraformaldehyde. Suggested permeabilization method is 0.5% Triton X-100. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
