Extra Details:
The sarcoplasmic reticulum of striated muscle is a specialized intracellular membrane system that plays a critical role in the contraction and relaxation of muscle. The sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ ATPases (SERCAs) mediate Ca2+ uptake into intracellular stores. SERCA mediated Ca2+ uptake induces and maintains muscular relaxation. SERCA1 is expressed in fast-twitch muscles, whereas SERCA2 is expressed in cardiac and slow-twitch muscles. SERCA2 plays an important part in regulating cardiac contractile function. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HEK293 cell lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
