Extra Details:: This protein plays a role in neuronal commitment and differentiantion in most regions of the CNS and of several neuronal lineages in the PNS. It is also essential for the generation of olfactory and autonomic neurons. The unprocessed precursor is 236 amino acids in length and 25.45kD. ASH1 contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. It activates transcription by binding to the Ebox (5'-CANNTG-3') and efficient DNA binding requires dimerisation with other bHLH proteins. It forms a heterodimer with TCF3. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
