- Extra Details:
- TMS1, also known as apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC). It was first identified as a cytosolic soluble protein that forms insoluble aggregates and promotes caspase-mediated apoptosis. The proapoptotic activity is mediated predominantly though the activation of caspase 9. It may also be a component of the inflammasome, where it associates with caspase 1, CARD8 and NALP2 to activate proinflammatory caspases. TMS1 is widely expressed in human tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml ~25kD in HL60 cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
