Extra Details:: Jacalin is a glycoprotein composed of two subunits 10kD,16kD which bind to O-glycoside-linked oligosaccharides, binding both the mono and di-sialylated lectin. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, ImA-binding and purification. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Activity: Less than 0.5ug/ml will agglutinate neuraminidase treated human erythrocytes. Carbohydrate Specificity: alpha-Galactose Inhibitory Carbohydrate: alpha-Galactose Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
