Extra Details:: ATG4A (Autophagy related protein 4 homolog A; also Autophagin 2) is a 50kD cytosolic cysteine protease mostly found in skeletal muscle and brain. It belongs to the Autophagin protein family which is involved in autophagy, a biological process in which endogenous protein and damaged organelles are destroyed. There is a potential for multiple splice forms, namely isoform 1, isoform 2, and isoform 3. Human ATG4A shares 92% and 94% aa sequence identity with mouse and canine ATG4A, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
