- In mammalian cells, Autophagy-related protein 7 is essential for autophagy conjugation systems, autophagosome formation, starvation-induced bulk degradation of proteins and organelles. Studies indicate that caspase-8 may alter ATG7 levels and thus the ATG7 program of autophagic cell death. ATG7 is evolutionally conserved and exhibits high homology within mammalian species. It expressed in wide range of tissues including kidney, liver, bone marrow and lymph nodes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
