Extra Details:
Angiotensinogen, a member of the serpin family (Serpin A8), is synthesized in liver and cleaved by renin to produce angiotensin I. This is further processed by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to yield angiotensin II, a key blood pressure regulator. The amino acid sequence of human AGT is 99%, 68%, 64%, and 61% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, rat, and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml with recombinant human Serpin A8/Angiotensinogen. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
