Extra Details:: The protein encoded by this gene, pre-angiotensinogen or angiotensinogen precursor, is expressed in the liver and is cleaved by the enzyme renin in response to lowered blood pressure. The resulting product, angiotensin I is then cleaved by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to generate the physiologically active enzyme angiotensin II. The protein is involved in maintaining blood pressure and in the pathogenesis of essential hypertension and preeclampsia. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence: 1:200 Immunohistochemistry (PAP or ABC): 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Amino Acid Sequence: Asp-Arg-Val-Tyr-Ile-His-Pro-Phe-His-Leu Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
