- Angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) is a secreted glycoprotein that belongs to the angiopoietin family. It is expressed in the liver and circulates as 70kD, 50kD, and 32kD species. These include full length ANGPTL3 as well as the proteolytically separated N- and C-terminal fragments which contain a coiled coil domain and fibrinogen-like domain, respectively. ANGPTL3 promotes an increase in circulating triglyceride levels by directly inhibiting lipoprotein lipase. Mature human ANGPTL3 shares 77% aa sequence identity with mouse ANGPTL3. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
